Talk Money Week

Talk Money Week runs from 3-7 November 2025.

Here’s some ideas on how you can start the conversation

Start the Conversation

We’re supporting Talk Money Week, which aims to break down barriers and make it easier for people to share their thoughts and feelings about money.

It can be difficult to talk about money. That’s why #TalkMoney Week is a great opportunity to kickstart a conversation with friends, family or colleagues. In fact, building money conversations into our everyday lives can help us build the financial confidence and resilience needed to face whatever the future has in store for us.

Start the Conversation

The message for Talk Money is a simple message: Start the ConversationEmphasing that a simple chat about finances can be the first step toward greater confidence and control.
It doesn’t have to be big. It could be as simple such as reading our Money Guide. use the Benefits Calculator to check you are receiving the right benefits, or reading our members blog on Surviving the Cost of Living.
How you can join in:
  • Start a conversation. Ask a friend or family member, “How are you feeling about money right now?”
  • Attend our webinar. Learn to spot signs of illegal lending and get tools to protect yourself and others.
  • Share tools & tips. We’ll be posting practical advice and conversation starters across our channels during the week.
  • Encourage your workplace to join. Employers play a vital role — supporting financial wellbeing can help staff feel more secure.
  • Use trusted resources. Direct people to organisations like MoneyHelper and IMLT for advice and guidance.
