Volunteers’ Week takes place from 2–8 June 2025, and it’s a time to recognise and celebrate the incredible people who give their time, energy and care to help others. Your dedication makes a real and lasting difference, and we’re so grateful for everything you do.
Volunteers are the quiet force behind so much of what keeps our communities going. From supporting food banks, running community events, helping neighbours, and delivering essential services, to being there for people when they need a friendly face or someone to talk to — your contribution brings people together, strengthens local networks, and builds resilience where it’s needed most.
Here at Wave Community Bank, we’re especially thankful for the fantastic volunteers who support our work. Whether it’s helping with admin, chatting to members on the phone, or joining our board, our volunteers are a vital part of our team.
Their support helps us stay personal, people-first, and rooted in our community. We’re here to help local people access fair savings and affordable loans – and our volunteers help make that happen every day. They bring compassion, commitment, and a true understanding of what it means to serve others.
