Last week, NHS staff came together to mark National Facilities and Estates Day, an annual event recognising the contribution of facilities and estates teams across the NHS.
Now in its fifth year, the day celebrates the people who help keep hospitals and healthcare services running every day.
Wave Community Bank’s Financial Wellbeing and Pension Support Officer, Tracy Cox-Horton, joined colleagues for the celebrations. Tracy works with staff across University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, providing one-to-one support on financial wellbeing, budgeting, pensions and money management. She regularly visits Facilities and Estates teams as part of her role, supporting staff with pension queries and helping them access financial support where needed.
National Facilities and Estates Day was established to recognise the important role these staff play in supporting NHS organisations. Their work helps ensure healthcare environments are safe, well maintained and able to provide the best possible care for patients.
