If you have a Post Office Card Account then it’s important that you make alternative arrangements for your banking so you can continue to receive payments such as pensions or benefits.
The contract the Post Office had with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) will cease on November 2022. This means that for people receiving benefits, there will be no further tax credits or child benefit payments made into Post Office card account after 5 April 2022.
You should have received a letter from either DWP or HMRC and it’s important that you don’t ignore these letters and make alternative arrangements such as applying for an Engage Account with Wave Community Bank.
When you open an Engage Account you will be given a unique account number and sort code which means that you can have your benefits paid direct into your account when you give HMRC your new bank details.
