The Hove Park Colts Football Club gives children the opportunity for children to play football in a friendly environment and Wave Community Bank are proud to be able to sponsor their under 9’s girls team!
Increased exposure of the Lionesses has meant that more girls are getting into grass-roots sports and football clubs like Hove Park Colts have seen sharp increases in up-take.
In December 2022, The Guardian reported that 100,000 more girls are playing football in England and that children are just as active as before the pandemic and research from Sports England annual survey shows that 100,000 more girls are playing football than there were five years ago. The survey also found that secondary school girls are more active than they have ever been.
With more and more opportunities for girls to get into football this is an exciting time to be sponsoring the girls under 9’s at Hove Park Colts! We wish the team every success for the season ahead.
