Wave Community Bank’s Financial Wellbeing Support Officer, known to many as “Money Tracy”, will be at this year’s University Hospitals Sussex All Staff Conference, joined by Sid the Shark from the England Illegal Money Lending Team.
The conference takes place at the City Coast Centre in Portslade on Thursday 23 and Friday 24 October, with the same agenda running both days to allow more staff and volunteers to attend. Proudly supported by the My University Hospitals Sussex charity, the event is classed as a working day, so attendance doesn’t require booking leave.
This year’s theme, “Excellent Care Everywhere”, focuses on the Trust’s new strategy and how staff can help achieve its ambition of delivering excellent care in every area. The event will feature a marketplace of offers and opportunities, inspirational stories from colleagues, and a keynote speech from Dr Jo Salter MBE, Britain’s first female fast jet pilot.
At the marketplace, Money Tracy will be representing Wave Community Bank’s Financial Wellbeing service, offering friendly, confidential advice to help staff feel better about money. Alongside her will be Sid the Shark, raising awareness about the risks of illegal money lending and how to access safe, ethical alternatives through credit unions.
