According to a recent survey by American Express, almost a third of UK consumers have started their Christmas shopping, the majority of which has been spent on Christmas cards, decorations and wrapping paper.

Whilst shopping early can help spread the cost of Christmas and help save time later on for many of us, this feels far too early especially as many retail shops are still stocking halloween costumes.
