On the 21st October 2021, we are celebrating International Credit Union Day! It falls on the third Thursday of October each year, and has been celebrated since 1948.
This year’s theme is “Building financial health for a brighter tomorrow”, which is what credit unions are all about. We promote financial sustainability and ethics, so that our members get out of debt and are prepared for the future.
International Credit Union Day celebrates the history of the credit union movement, while promoting its achievements and acknowledging the hard work that has gone into the running of credit unions. ICU Day raises awareness of the good work credit unions do in their community, and gets our members more involved in the conversation. We are run by members, for our members, so we love any opportunity to share experiences and engage with one another!
