International Women's Day at NHS Trust with Money TraceyWave Community Bank was proud to be represented at a special International Women’s Day event hosted by University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust and supported by the Women’s Network, a staff-led support group designed to create a safe space for female employees, offering peer support, career development, and mentorship.

The celebrations took place across four hospital locations – Royal Sussex County Hospital, Worthing Hospital, St Richard’s Hospital andPrincess Royal Hospital – as well as through an online webinar, bringing together staff from across the Trust to connect, share experiences and celebrate the achievements of women.

Wave Community Bank’s Financial Wellbeing Support Officer, known to many as “Money Tracy”, attended the event at Worthing Hospital. Staff gathered between 10am and 2pm for tea, coffee and informal networking, creating a welcoming space for colleagues to meet, exchange ideas and highlight the vital contribution women make across healthcare and the wider community.

International Women's Day at NHS Trust with Money TraceyInternational Women’s Day is celebrated around the world each year to recognise the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, while also encouraging continued progress towards equality. Events such as this provide an important opportunity for people to come together, support one another and reflect on the role women play in shaping workplaces and communities.

During the day, staff were also able to join a live Teams discussion with Becky Cooper MP, who spoke about the experiences of women in Parliament and the importance of encouraging more women to take part in leadership and public life.

In her role at Wave Community Bank, Tracy works closely with local employers and organisations to support financial wellbeing in the workplace. By helping staff access safe and affordable savings and loans through the credit union, Wave Community Bank supports employees in building stronger financial futures and reducing financial stress.

Wave Community Bank is proud to work alongside organisations such as the NHS, helping to promote ethical finance and practical support that strengthens communities across Sussex.
